Course Description:
The Senior Instructor Course is designed for experienced outdoor educators seeking to elevate their instructional abilities and leadership skills. This advanced course builds on foundational knowledge, emphasizing refined teaching strategies, advanced risk management, and leadership in complex outdoor environments. Participants will engage in both theoretical and practical training, including mentorship opportunities, peer evaluations, and leading instructional scenarios in dynamic outdoor settings.
Upon completion, participants will be equipped to take on senior instructor roles, mentor junior instructors, and manage programs with heightened responsibility and expertise.
Course Objectives:
Master advanced instructional techniques and methodologies.
Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans.
Strengthen leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure outdoor environments.
Learn to mentor and support the professional development of junior instructors.

Course Length: Self-paced.
Prerequisites: Completion of the Basic Instructor Course or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of instructional experience (experience must be documented i.e. - total hours, number of students, total number classes etc)
